~ Connection: the conduit for healing, balance & happiness ~


The magic of yoga reminds us of a simple truth — that everything in nature is connected: the heart & the hips; the moon & the tides; the body & the mind.

Our ancestors understood and honoured these connections, but somewhere along the way, we’ve become disconnected. From nature & our human nature; from our bodies & our breath; from the frequencies of the cycles of the moon & the seasons.

This dis-connection is at the heart of dis-ease, dis-comfort and dis-content.

It’s time to reconnect as a means to heal. To reconnect to find a state of balance in our bodies and in our environment. In my own practice and teaching, I’ve found the ancient wisdom of the chakra system to provide a roadmap to healing that connects it all: nature, the body + the mind.

This map acts as a guide, a bridge between body, mind and nature that we can use for health & healing. When we connect the wisdom of the chakras system with the practice of yoga, we can discover how to move the body to heal and reconnect in specific ways: root through the legs and feet to reconnect to the steadiness of the earth element, wade through the waters of the hips to inspire creativity and fertility, stoke the fire of the core to activate ambition and awaken the spark of aliveness when feeling low, and open into the expansive air element of the heartspace when feeling grief.


A deeper understanding of this wisdom has been a game changer for me in my practice & my life. I’ve used this knowledge to heal my body in ways that helped me to conceive my miracle baby, release fear of the unknown, and release the grief from the losses of my life.

Ignite the power of the core with twists and arm balances to illuminate feelings of motivation, strength, and belief in self. Designed with intention to create a warm space to burn away feelings of shame and light the inner spark of aliveness for those feeling stuck, low or uninspired.

Expand through the heart, arms and neck to receive breath more fully, discovering a sense of equilibrium. Designed with intention to create a receptive space to surrender and release grief for those feeling out of balance.
